For complete beginners we take you to a quiet road location to let you become familiar with the car in a more relaxed environment.

After assessing your aptitude, your instructor
will suggest which course will probably best suit your requirements.
You can arrange to book at this stage if you wish or go home
to consider things and get back in touch later if you prefer.

You are welcome to ask your instructor
any questions you wish about the range of courses available
or indeed any other driver training matter. We will be happy
to advise you on any aspect of getting through your driving
test.

You must tell your instructor if you have
any medical or other condition which might have an effect on your
ability to drive safely. There is a minimum eyesight requirement
which will be checked on your test.

At the start of the practical driving test,
your driving examiner will ask you to read the number plate on
a parked vehicle. You'll have to read the number plate from a
distance of:
•20 metres for vehicles
with a new-style number plate

•20.5 metres for vehicles with an old-style
number plate

New-style number plates start with two
letters followed by two numbers, for example AB51 ABC
